How do I set different mouse speeds?
Right-click on the MouseSwitcher icon in the system tray and choose "Preferences...". Move the slide bars for "touchpad" and "external mouse" to the desired speed. The speed will change instantly as you slide the bar, and that will become the active speed.
How do I switch the mouse speed?
The easiest way is to press the key combination WIN+Q. Or you can double-click the MouseSwitcher icon in the system tray.
Why would I want 2 different mouse speeds?
Most people like their mouse speed as fast as possible when using their laptop touchpad. But when they use an external mouse, the speed is too fast to control. So they go to the control panel to adjust the speed. But when they go back to use the touchpad, the speed is now too slow. Instead of going to the control panel everytime you switch between the touchpad and mouse, you can use MouseSwitcher to set the speeds you want.For example, someone who uses their laptop during their commute probably uses the touchpad. But when they get to work they use a wireless mouse. If they want a different speed for that mouse, they have to go to the control panel to change it. MouseSwitcher simplifies this back and forth with an easy hotkey.
Why would I want to disable my touchpad?

What operating systems is MouseSwitcher compatible with?
MouseSwitcher will run on Windows XP or Windows Vista. The 2.0 .NET Framework is also required, which you can download here. If you are running Vista, you already have the 2.0 .NET Framework.
Can I change the hotkey from WIN+Q?
Not currently. A future version will allow you to choose a hotkey of your own.
I bought a license key, how do I unlock MouseSwitcher?
Right-click the MouseSwitcher icon in the system tray and choose "Enter license key..."
I bought a license key, Where do I download the full version of MouseSwitcher?
You already have it! The free download version is fully functional but is only a time trial. Right-click the MouseSwitcher icon in the system tray and choose "Enter license key..." to unlock your version. If your version has already expired, find MouseSwitcher in the Start menu and run it. You will be prompted for your license key.
Do you offer volume licensing?

Disabling the touchpad doesn't work on my laptop, why?
Currently, the disable touchpad option will only work with Synaptics touchpads. Most laptops sold today use a Synaptics touchpad. Before purchasing a license, please make sure your laptop works with MouseSwitcher by downloading the free trial. Refunds will not be given if MouseSwitcher doesn't work on your computer.
